A Trip Back to Greenwood

By: Davies Hood, Induron President

In early October, I had the opportunity to attend a cooking class at the Viking Cooking Ranges facility in lovely Greenwood, MS.  This event was part of a retreat for a professional group called Entrepreneurs’ Organization that I am proud to be a part of.

Greenwood is located in the ‘Delta’ portion of Mississippi and is known as the “Cotton Capital of the World”.  It is also the home of one of the STI/SPFA’s Field Erected Storage Tank Century Club members.  8+ years ago, when this water tank received its prestigious Century Club Certification, Induron’s own Tex Enoch attended the presentation as a Board Member of STI/SPFA.

When I looked out of my hotel window that Saturday morning, I couldn’t help but notice this distinctive, iconic water tank that we featured so many years ago.  I was impressed with its current appearance and with the performance of the 8+ year old paint job that utilized Induron’s Industry Standard aluminum coating, Armorlux Aluminum.  I was also reminded, that when properly maintained, infrastructure (steel tanks in particular) can be almost indefinitely renewed IF a proactive position is utilized.

Here at Induron, we are not only willing, but also interested in helping protect important infrastructure.  From water tanks to electrical power structures to sewer pipe, we have a solution and value-added recommendations for maintaining these important structures for years to come.
