The Lethal Weapon of the Painting Industry

By Jeff White

We’ve all seen a nail gun used as a weapon in the movies. The one that comes to mind for me is Lethal Weapon 3 where Danny Glover’s character has to nail two bad guys to the wall in his house where renovations are taking place.

But have you ever thought of a paint gun as a weapon? One of the most dangerous injuries caused by a paint gun is called an “injection injury” that involves a coating or other liquid under pressure literally being shot into your body.

Most often it occurs with fingers or hands of the person using the gun. It can be life threatening if not treated quickly and properly. Check out this article for more information on how to prevent injection injuries and how to have them treated if they do occur.
