2022 Safety Excellence

By: Jeff White, Induron Executive Vice President and General Manager

2022 Safety AwardMarch Madness is upon us, which means one team will be cutting down the nets in Houston in the coming weeks. Hopefully, for the first time in school history, it will be the Alabama Crimson Tide. I believe basketball is one of the most unpredictable sports out there. Coaches and players alike, work to eliminate as much of the variance in performance by drawing up plays and working on execution to include offense, defense, shooting, and time management among many other things. By: Jeff White, Induron EVP & General Manager

Gearheads galore! The Induron Operations team recently celebrated meeting its quarterly quality goals! These goals not only measure the quality of paint we are producing, but also how we are servicing our customers. The goals we set are not “gimme goals,” because we like a challenge. And, we don’t always reach them, but when we do, it’s worth celebrating. Continue reading Induron’s Operations Team Meets Quarterly Quality Goals

Induron Celebrates Meeting Quality Goals

By: Jeff White, Induron EVP & General Manager

The last time you heard from me was in a blog about our Annual Christmas party. At that event, the Induron team not only celebrated the Christmas Holiday, but also our safety record and awards. Another thing we like to celebrate, which falls in line with our core value of “reliability,” is when we meet our quality goal. We only have one goal when it comes to quality: Get our customers the product they need. Continue reading Induron Celebrates Meeting Quality Goals

Induron’s Annual Sales Meeting: A Good Time with Great People

By: Davies Hood, Induron President

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting the Induron Sales Team at our annual Sales Meeting. This year’s event was held at the beautiful Pursell Farms near Childersburg, AL. Our Team spent two nights together under one roof at the “Man’s World-esque” Parker Lodge. I describe this lodge as ‘Man’s World’ because of the Mountain Lodge décor, which includes a Moose-Head above the mantel, a game room complete with billiard, ping-pong and foosball tables, a patio with a fire pit and cigar ashtray overlooking the 17th green, a large dining area where we enjoyed a filet mignon prepared in-house, AND a modern meeting room featuring leather chairs and two entire walls of windows as well as modern A/V! How to Coach a Team

coachingBy Jeff White

I read this article recently titled, “How to use social media to create happy employees.” In my opinion, with a change to some of the examples it could aptly be titled, “How to coach a team.”

Here are a couple of the highlights with my spin on them:

Embrace Your Company Culture. The article talks about sharing your company culture Continue reading How to Coach a Team

We Can Fix That, Whether Shiny or Matte

Jeff White 2By Jeff White, EVP & General Manager

Several years ago, I got a call from a client who said, “Your paint is too shiny.” That’s something I never thought I would hear!

At the time, we were supplying the coatings on a one-of-a-kind standpipe-style water storage tank. What made this tank unique was that its top was cut at an acute 45-degree angle with the face (logo) pointed toward the runways and control tower at Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport in Gulfport, Mississippi.
