We are excited to welcome Cody Paradis to the Induron team as Southeastern Sales & Services representative. Cody brings hands-on experience and a strong technical foundation developed through years of working in the field as an underground cementitious and epoxy applicator and later as a Technical Service Representative for a major coatings manufacturer.
His journey has taken him across the U.S. and Canada, training contractors and ensuring coatings were applied to the highest standard. But when Cody and his wife Haley welcomed their daughter Charlotte—and later their son Asher—he knew it was time to find a role that offered both professional fulfillment and more time at home. That search led him to Induron, where our family-oriented culture and commitment to quality aligned perfectly with his values. Cody is now focused on helping contractors, engineers, and asset owners protect critical infrastructure with cost-effective, durable solutions.
We’re proud to have him on board and look forward to the knowledge, energy, and dedication he brings to the team! To learn more about Cody, check out this Q&A.
Q: Tell us about your background, experience in the paint/coatings industry and how you came to work for Induron.
A: I began my career in the coatings industry as an underground cementitious and epoxy applicator for a company based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Through consistent effort and strong work practices, I gained recognition and was offered a position with a major coatings manufacturer as a Technical Service Representative, supporting clients across the United States and parts of Canada. The role involved long hours, frequent travel, and a demanding schedule training contractors with products and application techniques, but it was an incredibly rewarding and humbling experience that helped shape my professional foundation.
In July 2023, my life changed beautifully with the birth of my first child, Charlotte. That moment sparked a clear realization: it was time to seek a position that would allow me to capitalize on my career efforts and be closer to home and more present with my growing family. Fast forward to January 2025, and my wife, Haley, and I welcomed our second child, Asher. With two wonderful children under the age of two, the need for a stable home life became even more essential.
As fate would have it, around that time an acquaintance – who had long spoken highly of Induron – reached out about an open position. From my very first conversations and interactions with the team, I knew Induron was the place for me.
Q: What are your responsibilities in your new role?
A: I am responsible for introducing and delivering high-quality coating systems and application techniques to contractors, engineers, owners, and end users. My goal is to ensure their assets are protected with the most cost-effective and durable solutions, right from the start.
Q: Why Induron?
A: The environment, the genuine care, attention to detail, and the camaraderie stood out immediately. Induron is more than just a business–it’s a family. And I’m proud to now be a part of it.
Q: What’s the most challenging part of your job?
A: What many people fail to see are the underground infrastructure assets that are crumbling beneath our feet. When these systems fail, the results can include costly repairs and serious disruptions to daily life and community operations – often in the face of limited or nonexistent budgets. The real challenge lies in designing effective, reliable, cost-effective solutions that provide long lasting performance and integrity. It’s a complex task, but one that must be met head-on. Challenge accepted.
Q: Are you seeing any new trends in the coatings industry? If so, please describe.
A: Change is a constant in our daily lives, driven by rapid innovation and technological advancement. The coatings industry is no exception, with trends and standards changing regularly. While the old expression “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” still resonates with some, the reality is that application techniques, equipment capabilities, safety protocols, and product formulations are continuously advancing to keep pace with a rapidly evolving world.
Q: Tell us about a project you’ve worked on that you’re especially proud of.
A: I’ve had the opportunity to be part of a wide variety of projects – from tunneling and high rise buildings to water and wastewater structures, stormwater pipe, culverts, bridges, nuclear power facilities, shipyards, and even Blackhawk training centers. Each one has brought its own challenges and rewards. However, what I’m most proud of isn’t just the work itself. It’s being part of something meaningful in its own way. Alongside the hardworking, talented people, and good teams. It’s the shared effort and the sense of accomplishment that truly stands out.
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
A: Happiness can be found in even the darkest of times, if one remembers to turn on the light.
Q: If you could have dinner with any person living or dead, who would it be and why?
A: My grandfather “Papa”. To talk, to listen, and to soak in the wisdom of a man I didn’t get nearly enough time with growing up. There’s so much I missed, and even more I wish I could learn from him today. Also, family and friends. I’d have multiple dinners!
Q: Tell us a little about your family, pets and/or hobbies.
A: My wife’s name is Haley, and together we have a daughter named Charlotte, and a son named Asher. We have three dogs: Bear “Beagle,” Little “Border Collie,” and Spot “Blue Tick Hound.” We also have 10 chickens, but you’d have to ask Haley their names.
We all enjoy quality time with family and friends outdoors and having fun. Whether its spending time on the river, in the mountains and the woods, or cooking and having a barbecue. We are mostly always on the go, but it’s nice to find time to relax as well.
