Coatings are NOT a Commodity

By: Andy Odorzynski, Induron National Sales Manager

I spend the vast majority of my time speaking with clients who are preparing to make 6-figure coatings purchases and attempting to weigh their options. It’s common for the people in these buying/specifying roles to seek parity among suppliers–to create an “apples-to-apples” comparison between multiple products/companies. This journey inevitably leads to commodity thinking: the belief that what’s inside the can is all the same, so it doesn’t really matter.  Continue reading Coatings are NOT a Commodity

A New Look for TL-70

By: Andy Odorzynski, Induron National Sales Manager

Coatings for the water tank industry have undergone major changes in recent years. The implementation of NSF-600, supply chain woes, and new technological innovation have all come together to result in a more rapidly changing set of linings than the industry has seen for quite some time. While service life expectations remain fantastic with these newer technologies, many of these newer coatings (or poorly adjusted re-treads of existing technology) have resulted in real challenges for applicators. Induron’s TL-70 is a tried-and-true solution with decades of success under its belt, and some new capabilities that make it a leading choice in today’s water tank lining reality.  Continue reading A New Look for TL-70

What Didn’t Kill Us, Really Did Make Us Stronger

By: Andy Odorzynski, Induron National Sales Manager

Andy OdorzynskiFor the first time in a while, I’m optimistic! I look at the beginning of 2023 very much like a student finishing college and beginning a new career: We spent the past few years working our butts off! The results were good most of the time, but we also had to work through some failure. We had to get serious about our priorities and decide to push through the tough stuff. To paraphrase one of my favorite contemporary business gurus, Simon Sinek: we knew who could hoist a sail. Now we know who is able, and more importantly willing, to hoist a sail in a storm Continue reading What Didn’t Kill Us, Really Did Make Us Stronger

Mortarchem: Improving Applicator Outcomes in the Field

By: Andy Odorzynski, Induron National Sales Manager

MortarchemWhen visiting field industrial painting projects, the complexity on display is truly amazing. First off, millions of dollars worth of equipment has to operate in coordination to allow work to progress. If any part in any one piece of the system fails to operate, production comes to a stop. In the field, replacement parts, tools, and mechanics can be extremely hard to come by.  Continue reading Mortarchem: Improving Applicator Outcomes in the Field
