By: Glenda Curry, Induron Texas Sales & Service Manager

Glenda CurryBefore joining the Induron team, I spent more than 20 years in business development for a major elevated tank manufacturer. In that role, I served as a technical resource for municipal owners and engineers on tank projects across the U.S. I reviewed specifications, conducted site assessments, prepared budgets, and most importantly, built strong relationships with customers.

Coming from a background in commercial construction, I quickly learned the elevated tank market was different. It was extremely competitive, and success required a much higher level of technical support.

One of the most frequent (and critical) discussions with clients centered on project duration. Coating operations are heavily impacted by weather and seasonal changes, so any delay in getting a project out to bid or under contract could mean the tank wouldn’t be in service for another 7–9 months. The best way to ensure success was to start with the end date in mind and work backward to determine a conservative, realistic start date that met the client’s operational needs.

Elevated tanks are more than just functional infrastructure—they’re landmarks. They can and should serve as a source of community pride. Many municipalities invite the public to participate in selecting a logo or color scheme, but part of my role was to help owners “look beneath the surface” and understand that the true value of the coating system is in protecting the expensive asset underneath.

Transitioning from educating clients on entire tank structures to focusing specifically on protective coatings has been a natural step for me. The mission is the same: provide sound technical guidance, ensure projects run smoothly, and protect valuable infrastructure for the long term.

The Induron team has been incredibly supportive as I grow in this new role, and I’m thrilled to bring my experience to our customers here in Texas. I’ve already reconnected with familiar faces from my previous work, and I look forward to building new relationships, serving as a trusted resource, and helping clients find the right coating solutions for their unique challenges.

Whether you’re facing tight timelines, tricky site conditions, or simply want to ensure your asset stands the test of time, I’m here to help—backed by a team that’s as committed to your success as I am.
