CERAMAPRIME CC
Ceramaprime CC is a durable phenalkamine ceramic epoxy primer for steel and concrete potable water tanks, providing excellent adhesion, corrosion resistance, and long-term performance in both atmospheric and immersion environments.
Product Overview
Ceramaprime CC is an NSF 61/600 cold cure potable water tank primer. This single leg airless applied 52% solids phenalkamine ceramic epoxy may be used as a primer for steel or concrete water tanks and is available in a longer pot life version for warm weather application, and low VOC version.

Application Specifications
Application Methods
Single Leg Airless Spray: Remove all filters from spray system, use pump capable of 2,000 psi line pressure; 0.015-0.019 spray tip. Pre-heat material from 90-110°F prior to mixing and application. Graco viscon in-line heater recommended
Plural Airless Spray: Remove all filters from spray system, use Graco XP-70 or equivalent heated plural spray unit with heated hose bundle and in-line static mixer. 0.015-0.019 spray tip. Heat A and B components to between 70 and 85°F and spray at minimum line pressure to achieve fan
Brush and Roll: Thin as needed with K-1034 or K-1070 at up to 10%

Surface Preparation
All substrates must be clean and dry, free of dirt, oils, greases and contaminants.
Carbon Steel
Abrasive blast to SSPC SP-6 with a 1-3 mil profile for atmospheric service, SSPC SP-10 for immersion (1-3 mil profile)
Concrete
Abrasive blast as per SSPC SP-13 to an ICRI CSP 3 or greater. Can be applied over Mortarchem and EFS 707
Repairs, Small Areas
SSPC SP-11 power tool to bare metal to produce an angular profile
Performance Testing
- ✓ ASTM D4541 Adhesion to Perma-Clean 100: 1500 psi at 90 days between coats
- ✓ ASTM D4541 Adhesion to Indurethane 6600: 1400 psi at 90 days between coats
- ✓ ASTM D4541 Adhesion to TL-70: 1100 psi at 90 days between coats
- ✓ ASTM B117 Salt Fog: 4300 hrs, no effect

Shelf Life & Storage
2 year shelf life for parts A and B. Store long term between 35 and 90°F. Recommend heating material to 50-70°F in the 24 hours prior to application.
