Each year Induron attends and exhibits at several trade shows, such as AWWA’s Annual Conference and Exposition, WEFTEC, and countless state and regional AWWA shows and events. These shows are very crucial to our success as a team and continuously put us in the backyards of our clients and their consulting engineers, allowing us to showcase our product capabilities in protecting their valuable assets.
However, we look toward another organization to shift the focus toward our contracting partners with our involvement with AMPP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance) and its annual conference held each spring. While AMPP is certainly attended by clients and engineers and offers amazing learning opportunities focusing on corrosion protection, we find that this conference really involves more contractors.
We recently had the pleasure of spending April 6th – 9th in Nashville, TN for the 2025 version of the AMMP Annual Conference and Expo and packed a lot into those 4 eventful days. Some of our team members arrived in town on Sunday and were able to attend a party with one of our contracting partners to kick off the exciting week.
Monday morning started very early for Induron Sales Representative Rob Burckley and I as we got to take a contractor we work with regularly to play a round of golf at nearby Gaylord Springs. Then, things really got going late Monday afternoon as the Expo began…
We were immediately greeted by many folks in the Industry as well as several contracting partners at our booth. Apologies to our booth neighbors, but Induron’s booth #2035 certainly appeared to be the hot spot for people to visit. At times, it seemed as though our visitors were creating a traffic jam around our booth as more and more continued to pour in. Suffice to say, we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout to open the show!
For me, Tuesday morning started very early once again as I took another contractor to play yet another round of golf back at Gaylord Springs once again. The rest of our team worked yet another high volume day at the Expo meeting with more of our partners in the industry throughout the day.
Tuesday evening we hosted a cocktail reception at the beautiful Union Station Nashville Yard, which was the highlight of the week for Induron. The Victorian Romanesque architecture of this 125-year-old masterpiece provided the perfect setting for us to commune with many of our partners. More than 100 of our friends in the industry came out to share food, drink, and way too many interesting conversations to count throughout the evening. This was an opportunity for Induron to say thank you to many of our clients and continue to build on these valuable relationships we cherish with our partners in the industry.
As the last day of the show came, we said goodbye to some members of our team as they departed to return to work. As with many shows, the last day can be a bit slower, but by now, we knew that the events of the previous three days had all been well worth it. In my 3 years at Induron, 2025 proved to be our best and most exciting AMMP Conference and Expo. But Induron was not done yet…
Induron Technical Services Director, William (Bill) Seawell, concluded the show by delivering an impactful presentation on Questioning Assumptions About Primers in Immersion and Their Place in the Water Industry. For anyone that has heard Bill speak, you know to listen when he talks. His technical expertise is second to none in the Industry, and he delivered yet another amazing presentation to AMPP attendees.
We would like to thank the many fine folks that took time out of their Expo visit to come see us and interact with us. We look very much forward to seeing you all again in Houston for the 2026 Conference and Expo!
