Induron and Tankez Coatings Rehabilitate Texarkana’s Pedisphere Tank

Texarkana tank 2_russellTexarkana Water Utilities (TWU) decided its 400,000-gallon pedisphere water storage vessel located in Texarkana, Texas was due for some maintenance. TWU also realized they had a problem to address before beginning the project—the tank’s location. Because the tank was located in a residential area and surrounded by homes, TWU hoped to avoid disturbing the local neighborhood residents in any way. How to Turn Red into White…

Induron blog picNo, it’s not exactly magic. Located in Venice, Illinois, Terminal Railroad Association (TRRA) has four diesel fuel tanks that are 60 feet high and 12 feet in diameter. The tanks had a red oxide coating that had chalked and rusted since being installed in 2008. The challenge was to recommend a coating system that was compatible with the existing red oxide coating since the cost, risk and mess associated with abrasive blasting would have been prohibitive. How Induron is like the National Champions in College Basketball

Recently, the Villanova Wildcats defeated the University of North Carolina Tarheels to win the NCAA National Championship as an undersized, scrappy, disciplined and determined unit.

Growing up in Philadelphia, I played my share of basketball.  I also grew up watching the Big Five play and loved every minute of it.  LaSalle, St. Joe’s, Temple, Penn and Villanova all had their shot playing the big guys from across the country.  These games were especially fun to watch. Carl Moye, our Sales Representative for the state of Georgia, has devoted more than 15 years to the mining industry and will continue to support the industry through his involvement with GMA.
