The Original Induron Blog

By: Davies Hood, Induron President

With the Induron blog, we strive to provide readers with unique insight into our company—a “Look Beneath the Surface,” if you will. Our blog content ranges from project profiles, industry insights and product highlights to softer pieces, such as employee spotlights, motivational advice and personal stories. Recently, I came across a “‘when I grow up’ paper I wrote as a 6-year-old that could be considered as “The Original Induron Blog.”  It read:

“When I grow up, I want to be a paint salesman for Indurall (Induron’s name at the time). The reason I want to be a salesman is my father is one and so is my grandfather. The factory is nice (6 year-old eyes are different). In the lobby, there is a model car that is neat! My father is the president at Indurall (thought he was a salesman?). I have a lot of friends there.”

Obviously, a lot has changed in the last 4+ decades, including our name, Induron, BUT our core focus remains the same. To provide “Reliable Protection through Innovative Coatings.” A few other things that remain the same are that I STILL think the factory is nice (maybe more cool than nice?), AND I still have a lot of friends here. Life is too short to work somewhere that you don’t.

Anyway, that 40+ year-old ‘when I grow up’ paper is something that I personally cherish and something that is very fun to look at, particularly with my children.
