Meet the Induron Family: Steve Schnell

Induron Coatings is a 66 year old family owned business that tries to treat all of our employees as family. As part of our series of Blogs titled “Meet the Induron Family” we’d like to introduce one of the key cogs to our manufacturing machine, Steve Schnell.

Steve heads up our Quality Control Department and first started at Induron 10 years ago in customer service. In part because of his keen eye for color and ability to tackle difficult color matches in a systematic fashion, he was transferred to Quality Control and given the title Laboratory Technician. His attention to detail and stringent adherence to the rules has allowed him to flourish in this position.

At Induron, we run a gamut of individual tests to ensure that every batch of paint that we make conforms to strict performance parameters before it is filled. We do this even if we make the product every single day. Steve administers every one of these tests, usually five or six per batch in an efficient yet very strict manner.

As part of the Technical Department, Steve does not report to the Production Manager, and therefore he is not part of the Production Team. He’s really an autonomous man and that seems to suit his personality just fine.

We are a stronger company because of Steve Schnell and his contributions to the quality and reliability of our products.

Founded in 1947, Induron manufactures high performance coatings that serve a range of industrial applications, including the wastewater, transmission and distribution and groundwater storage industries.
