Recently, Induron had the pleasure of partnering with American Tank Maintenance and the parents, students and alumni of The Westfield School to restore the school’s playground and give it a brand-new look. American Tank Maintenance is a valued business partner of Induron’s, and we were delighted to be chosen to help with this project.
Located in Perry, Georgia, The Westfield School is an independent, non-denominational, college preparatory school that educates grades Pre-K through 12th in a Christian environment. We contributed to the project by donating the paints and supplies needed to recoat the school’s playground equipment.
“Whether we are painting a water tank or painting playground equipment for a local school, Induron Coatings is always a pleasure to partner with,” said Sheldon Shelton of American Tank Maintenance. “We have total confidence in their products and we sincerely appreciate their willingness to donate their time and products to help out with a much-needed project for our local school.”
We used two gallons of E-bond for the prime coat and 10 gallons of Permastic Urethane for the finish coat. The project was completed while the students were home for Thanksgiving break. Though the playground equipment was not new, the fresh coat of shiny paint fooled several of the school’s students. It was GREAT to see those young kid’ smiles when they saw the restored playground equipment. Knox Shelton, a Pre-K student at The Westfield School, even exclaimed, “We got brand new playground equipment today!”
At Induron, we truly value giving back to the community and these types of projects are just as important to us as the larger projects. Our paint donation enabled the school to reallocate the saved funds to support greater needs, including academics, arts and athletics.
“I am quite proud of this small donation,” said Davies Hood, Induron President. “It truly was for a good cause and a great customer. It embodies what we are all about at Induron: true relationships.”
